NDNU Spotlighted on NPR's "Marketplace"
NDNU was spotlighted on a segment of NPR's Marketplace on February 8, 2010. The spot highlighted the decision by many college-bound students to attend private universities such as NDNU in the wake of cut backs in state funding for public university systems.
NDNU Music Department Presents Piano Concerts For Haiti
The Department of Music and Vocal Arts at Notre Dame de Namur University will put its best tunes forward this month to assist earthquake victims in Haiti. As part of its Ralston Performers Series, The Department will present two concerts, the first on Sunday, January 24 at 4 p.m. and the second on Sunday, January 31 at 4 p.m., in the historic Ralston Mansion Ballroom. Proceeds made at both concerts will be donated to relief programs targeted toward Haitian earthquake victims.
Dr. Gregory B. White Named Interim Provost at Notre Dame de Namur University
Notre Dame de Namur University today announced the appointment of Dr. Gregory B. White as Interim Provost. He replaces Richard Giardina, who served as Interim Provost from April 2008 to December 2009. As provost, Dr. White is NDNU’s senior academic officer with responsibility for all University academic affairs.
A Safe and Fun Way for Children in the Tenderloin to Celebrate Halloween
About 40 Students from Notre Dame de Namur University helped create a fun and safe environment for 400 young ghosts and goblins to celebrate Halloween at the Children’s Playground in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco.
NDNU Ranked Among Top Small, Private Bay Area Universities in Graduation Rate
A new national report from the American Enterprise Institute showed that Notre Dame de Namur University ranked near the top in six-year graduation rates among small, private universities in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Students Award NDNU "A" for Academics and Advising
Notre Dame de Namur University students gave their school high marks for academics and advising in a student satisfaction survey conducted during the spring semester.
NDNU to Offer Human Services Bachelors at Canada College
NDNU and Canada College announced a partnership through which NDNU will offer a program on the Canada campus that allows students to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services.
