John Astin, Ph.D.
Associate Professor, Clinical Psychology
Dr. Astin has been with the Clinical Psychology Department at Notre Dame de Namur University for the past 7 years. His two primary areas of teaching focus on Research Methods, where he supervises all the thesis and student capstone projects, and a Special Topics course on Positive Psychology and Mindfulness.

Dr. Astin offers free weekly Zoom meetings where he teaches a meditative technique that he has developed (and has written books about) that he calls “experiential inquiry.” People from around the world take part in these calls.
