I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University, Chico with a double major and a minor. I entered college as an undeclared student and took classes in a variety of different subject areas until I found a major that interested me. While an undergraduate student I was able to partake in different opportunities from hall counsel to concert band to volunteering with the elderly. One of my most enjoyable moments was studying abroad in Germany and putting my educational skills into practice. I was glad that I was able to attend a public university, but looking back on my college search, I would have expanded my scope to not exclude private schools. There are so many different types of higher institutions and as much students are competing to get into universities, universities are competing for qualified students. Now as a student at Notre Dame de Namur University in the master's program, I am able to understand the value of a small university such as the individual attention and high level of instruction. Notre Dame de Namur University is a great place to work and a great place to learn! |
