NDNU Announces Transfer Agreement with UCSC Silicon Valley Extension for MBA Students
UCSC Silicon Valley Extension Business Administration Certificate students can transfer up to 6 semester units into the NDNU MBA program.
Belmont, Calif. (October 19, 2021) – Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) announced today a new agreement with UCSC Silicon Valley Professional Education (UCSC SV) where students with bachelor’s degrees who have completed a Business Administration Certificate at UCSC SV can transfer up to 9 quarter units (6 semester units) into the NDNU Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.
The MBA program at NDNU is a 36 unit, 12-course, evening program that can be completed in 18 months. This transfer agreement provides students at UCSC Silicon Valley Extension the benefits of a shorter time to MBA degree completion at NDNU and lower total costs.
“Education is a never-ending process for staying competitive,” said James Fogal, Interim Dean of the School of Business and Management at NDNU. “With this new partnership between NDNU and UCSC Silicon Valley Extension, we have created an innovative pathway for students who have earned a Business Administration Certificate to transfer into NDNU’s MBA Program. This is an exciting way to make an MBA more accessible to students in our region.”
“We’re excited about providing Silicon Valley professionals multiple pathways to get competencies and credentials,” said P.K. Agarwal, dean of UCSC Silicon Valley Professional Education. “Both of our institutions have long histories of educating Silicon Valley professionals. This is the way of the future, institutions collaborating to serve the best interests of students.”
This is the second articulation agreement NDNU has established with UCSC Silicon Valley Extension. Students who complete the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Certificate Program at UCSC SV can transfer 24 quarter units (equivalent to 15 semester units) into the Master of Arts in TESOL Program at NDNU.
