Notre Dame de Namur University Names Dr. Bahram Mahbod as MSTM Program Director
Master of Science Technology Management Program starts in spring 2022
Belmont, Calif. (December 14, 2021) —The School of Business and Management at Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) has named Bahram Mahbod, PHD, as the program director of its new Masters in Technology Management (MSTM) program, to begin in spring 2022. Dr. Mahbod has taught at NDNU since 2011 and served with distinction as the director of NDNU’s MS Computer Science program between 2011 and 2016. Dr. Mahbod is a registered professional engineer (PE), where he earned his Master’s and Doctorate from Oregon State University and his Bachelor’s and MEng from Iowa State University.
“We are fortunate that Dr. Mahbod, with his extensive business and information technology experience gained over a 35-year career, has joined the School of Business and Management team,” said Interim Dean James Fogal. “Dr. Mahbod is uniquely well suited to lead our MS Technology students, overseeing curriculum which examines opportunities and challenges of managing technological innovation, organizational change, and for designing strategies for best achieving business performance and competitive advantage.”
“There is no single development, in either technology or management technique, which by itself promises even one order-of-magnitude improvement within a decade in productivity, in reliability, in simplicity or in innovation, but when informed and ethical management come together with technology, then we can achieve delivering best-of-breed products that truly address the needs of consumers.” Shared by Mahbod.
The MSTM program at NDNU is a 36-credit hour program students can complete in 18 months, with students selecting from evening and Saturday classes offered in 8-week sessions. NDNU teaches courses hybrid, where either online in the classroom, students engage in real-time with instructors and classmates. The MSTM program provides students with the technological competencies necessary to manage a team, department, or technical organization to address any real-life technology project.
