Support and Solidarity During the Los Angeles Fires
January 9, 2024
NDNU Community,
As many of you may have heard, wildfires have been ravaging parts of Southern California, including areas in and around Los Angeles. Our thoughts are with those directly impacted by these devastating fires—those who have lost loved ones, their homes, businesses, as well as the brave firefighters and emergency responders working tirelessly to contain the flames.
As a community that values compassion, support, and solidarity, I want to remind you all that we are here for each other in times of crisis. If you or anyone you know in the Notre Dame de Namur University community is affected by these fires, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are committed to offering support and resources wherever possible.
For those who would like to contribute, there are several ways to help those in need. Local organizations, including the Red Cross and other relief agencies, are providing immediate assistance. We encourage those who can donate or volunteer to explore these opportunities.
Please remember that you are not alone during this difficult time. Whether through emotional support or practical help, we are a community that stands together. If you need any assistance, whether academic or personal, please reach out to our HR support services, student support services, or any other campus department. We are here to support you.
In times of crisis, our community’s strength shines brightest. Let us continue to care for one another and extend our hearts to those affected by the fires in Los Angeles and throughout the region.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all who are facing the challenges brought on by this disaster.
