Notre Dame de Namur University Chooses Cengage Unlimited Subscription to Save Students Money on Course Materials
Subscription Gives Students Unlimited Access to More Than 22,000 Digital Course Materials, Including eBooks, Online Homework, Study Guides and More
Belmont, CA (August 10, 2021) — Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) is making Cengage Unlimited subscriptions available to all its students in the School of Business and Management (SBM) for this coming fall semester. The subscription represents a significant savings for NDNU students on course materials. Cengage is the largest U.S.-based education technology company serving the higher education course materials market.
“The high price of textbooks can hinder students’ access to quality course materials. NDNU’s School of Business has partnered with Cengage to provide nearly all course materials for no additional cost to students. By including access to textbooks as part of tuition, we know this will increase student success rates and improve educational outcomes,” said Interim Dean James Fogal, who leads the School of Business and Management at NDNU.
With the average student spending more than $400 annually (and some spending significantly more), the cost of course materials is a top financial stress for students, according to a recent Morning Consult survey. Cengage Unlimited helps alleviate that stress by offering unlimited access to course materials across 70 disciplines and 675 courses.
Subscription costs for Cengage Unlimited will be included as part of regular tuition. Students will be able to access their Cengage course materials through the university learning management system starting on the first day of class.
“The cost of course materials is a barrier for many students and our partnership aims to address affordability issues while providing access to quality learning,” said Fernando Bleichmar, EVP and General Manager, U.S. Higher Education at Cengage. “We applaud NDNU for taking a proactive approach to lower costs with Cengage Unlimited, and we’re excited for the learning benefit and value students will see as a result.”
Since the subscription launched, more than 3.3 million U.S. college students have subscribed to Cengage Unlimited saving more than $330 million on course materials. For more information, visit www.cengage.com/unlimited-institutional.
