Notre Dame de Namur University Celebrates 150 Years of Putting Students First on Giving Tuesday, November 27, 2018
Donations benefit college’s annual fund

Belmont, Calif.—Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) will take part in the national Giving Tuesday campaign on November 27, 2018, in a year that marks the 150th anniversary of the college’s charter as the first institution in California to grant the baccalaureate degree to women.
“NDNU has put students first for 150 years,” said President Judith Maxwell Greig. “We’re hoping that our friends and alumni will join us by donating on November 27 to support our students and the university’s future.”
Giving Tuesday donations to NDNU will go toward the university’s Annual Fund that benefits the campus’s highest needs and priorities. Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this year’s Giving Tuesday will take place on November 27, 2018, and will kick off the giving season by inspiring people to give back.
