Dr. Hernan Bucheli Named Notre Dame de Namur University Provost and Senior Vice President
Brings expertise in enrollment management, academic affairs, communications, and external affairs

Belmont, Calif.—Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) announced that Dr. Hernan Bucheli will be the new provost and senior vice president for academic and enrollment affairs, beginning July 1, 2018. Dr. Bucheli currently serves as vice provost for enrollment and communications at Saint Mary’s College of California, and was previously vice president for enrollment management and external affairs at NDNU, and assistant vice chancellor for enrollment and student affairs at Chapman University.
“We’re extremely pleased that Hernan is rejoining NDNU to provide additional leadership in academic matters and enrollment management,” said President Judith Maxwell Greig. “He served with great distinction at Saint Mary’s College and his return will add important initiative at a key time for our campus.”
Dr. Bucheli’s distinguished career as a higher education administrator spans more than 20 years. He has a proven track record of achieving impressive results in administrative leadership, strategic enrollment management, new academic program development, government relations, community relations, raising the level of student centeredness, new business and partnership development, and building institutional brand awareness. Additionally, he has led efforts that have earned national recognition for institutional marketing, branding, and recruitment excellence.
Dr. Bucheli holds an EdD from Northeastern University with a concentration in communications and organizational leadership, an MA in communication from Barry University, and a BA in international relations from San Francisco State University.
