Graduate and Credential Admission Requirements
For Domestic Students
A complete application to NDNU contains:
- Application filled out online
- Transcripts from all colleges attended
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and a cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Two letters of recommendation
- Program-specific requirements as noted in the Catalog
- Admissions Requirements by Program PDF
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and/or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is not required.
For Undocumented Students
NDNU welcomes and treats undocumented students as US domestic students in the admission process. The eligibility for NDNU scholarship funds will be determined based on individual financial circumstances. Students may contact the NDNU Office of Financial Aid at finaid@ndnu.edu or at (650) 508-3441 for more information.
For International Students
Get started toward earning your degree at NDNU!
Step 1: Apply online, create an account and review your programs’ required documents checklist
Step 2: Upload admissions requirement documents into your application portal based on your program checklist
Step 3: Attend your admissions interview, if applicable for your program
Step 4: If admitted, pay your $100 deposit to secure your seat in the class
Step 5: Upload required F-1 documents into your application portal
- Proof of English Language Proficiency
- International Certificate of Finances
- Bank Statement dated within 6 months of program start showing appropriate US funds as listed on the Certificate of Finances form
- SpanTran
- World Education Services (WES)
- Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE)
- Official Course-by-Course transcript Evaluation
- Copy of original transcripts showing an earned bachelor’s degree
- Copy of Passport
Step 6: Your I-20 will be issued to you. You will let your DSO know the date of your visa appointment
Step 7: Provide an update to your DSO as to the outcome of your visa appointment
- If you receive your visa, you would need to decide if you want to live on or off campus. If on campus, complete the on campus housing application
- If living on campus, provide your DSO with your flight information and make arrangements to complete your on campus onboarding upon your arrival, within 10 days from your program start date
- If living off campus, schedule a time within 10 days of your program start date to come to campus to meet with your DSO to complete your on boarding
- Register for classes
Step 8: Inform your DSO of any changes to your name or address within 10 days of change
Degree Completion Requirements
BS BA Admission
A minimum of 45 transferrable units (78 unit maximum), with a GPA of 2.0 or higher, and completion of the five prerequisites with a grade of C or higher:
Intro to Accounting (3 units), Microeconomics (3 units), Macroeconomics (3 units), Intro to Statistics (3 units), Calculus I or Math for Business Majors (3 units)
Required application materials: A complete application is the online NDNU application, official transcripts from every school or university attended including high school unless an associate’s degree has been conferred, a professional resume or personal statement. Two letters of recommendation are optional.
BA PSY Admission
A minimum of 45 transferrable units (78 unit maximum), with a GPA of 2.0 or higher, and completion of one prerequisite with a grade of C or higher:
General Psychology* (3 units) *May be completed the first semester at NDNU
Required application materials: A complete application is the online NDNU application, official transcripts from every school or university attended including high school unless an associate’s degree has been conferred.
