“I am extremely honored to join the Board of Trustees of a university with such a long tradition of academic excellence and service to the community,” said Ly. “I am excited to serve my alma mater and bring my experience in public affairs and government to the valuable work of helping NDNU thrive in today’s challenging educational environment. NDNU is a special place to me and look forward to working to ensure it has a long future serving students.”
Ly is a Presidential Appointee and Senior Advisor in the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency at the United States Department of Homeland Security. Prior to joining government, Oumou held the position of Fellow at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at the Harvard Law School. She holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
“Oumou is a highly capable leader who brings a tremendous amount of expertise in government and in various areas of information technology,” Martin stated. “As we transform to a smaller, primarily graduate university, we are excited to have a Trustee with such a broad range of experiences and abilities join our Board.”
“We are delighted to welcome Oumou to the Board,” said NDNU Board Chair Sr. Jean Stoner, SNDdeN. “In addition to her stellar background in the public sector, she knows our university community and our mission and will add so much value to the Board.
