Teresa Buccheri, Ph.D.

Dr. Buccheri began teaching in the Clinical Psychology Department at NDNU in 2020 after relocating to California from Italy in 2019. She is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist in Italy, with heterogeneous knowledge in many sectors, including clinical psychology, health, research, neuroscience, industrial-organizational psychology, and forensics. She is in the process of becoming licensed in the US.
For over 10 years, Dr. Buccheri has worked in Italy as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist conducting individual and family psychotherapy, and psychological and neuropsychological assessment. She worked as a forensic psychologist for the Civil and Penal Court of the city of Palermo.
Her previous academic work included working as a lecturer in General Psychology, Human Factors Psychology, Marketing Psychology, and Industrial-Organizational Psychology, as well as serving as a teaching assistant in Sports Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and Neuropsychology.
Dr. Buccheri has worked as a passionate and meticulous researcher in academia and industry. She has collaborated with the Family Resiliency Center University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign and the University of Leeds.
In 2017, she founded a start-up company with her father. This small company provides services in business, technology, public health, and public administration. She kept her Co-Founder role upon moving to California, after serving as a consultant for a year.
She lives in Santa Clara with her husband. She enjoys pilates, running, tv-series, and cooking!
