For Immediate Release (9/16/2019)
Belmont, Calif.—Notre Dame de Namur University placed #31 for Best Value, and #36 for Top Performers in Social Mobility in the U.S. News and World Report annual rankings of Regional Universities West.
“These rankings are testimony to the high value that students get from the education at Notre Dame,” said President Judith Maxwell Greig. “The advantages of a private university—small classes, personal attention, and the mentoring of our faculty and staff—greatly benefit our students when they are in college, and afterwards in their careers.”
The U.S. News & World Report rankings follow Phi Theta Kappa’s naming Notre Dame de Namur as one of three leading transfer colleges in California. Notre Dame was also recently listed one of the five top universities for online programs in the San Francisco Bay Area by Great Value Colleges.
“These rankings also reflect our location in Silicon Valley, which provides students with amazing opportunities for social mobility,” added President Greig. “Our graduates find jobs in many of the leading companies in this dynamic economic region, with more than three-quarters of our alums working in fields related to their majors.”
