For Immediate Release
Belmont, Calif. (March 25, 2021) – Notre Dame de Namur University is relaunching its MBA and MPA programs for fall 2021, naming Dr. James Fogal as Interim Dean for the School of Business and Management to lead this effort.
As NDNU transforms into a primarily graduate and online university, it has reopened admissions for its Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Administration programs for fall 2021 and beyond. These programs complement continuing graduate programs in Clinical Psychology and Education around which the University is building its future.
With experience teaching online and in person in both undergraduate and graduate business programs at NDNU, Dr. Fogal is well positioned to lead the School of Business and Management at NDNU through this transition. Programs in the School of Business and Management have been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) since 2013.
“I am immensely pleased that Dr. Fogal will step into the deanship at this critical time.” said Dr. Gregory White, Vice President for Academic Affairs. “James brings the combination of skills, knowledge, attitudes, and drive that will position our graduate business programs for a bright future.”
During his fifteen years as a faculty member in the School of Business and Management at NDNU, Dr. Fogal served as program director for graduate business programs from 2006 to 2007 and as Dean from 2007 to 2009. Since 2009, Dr. Fogal has taught graduate and undergraduate business courses in project management, business systems modeling, organizational and management theory, and conflict management. In 2014, Dr. Fogal was recognized by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) with the Teaching Excellence Award for the Western Council for Business Schools and Programs.
Prior to joining NDNU, Dr. Fogal held senior management positions at Cisco Systems, Exodus Communications, and UPS. Dr. Fogal earned his PhD from Walden University in Applied Management and Decision Sciences / Operations Research and MS and BS degrees from California State University, Fresno.
