BELMONT, CA. (December 1, 2022) – Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) President Dr. Lizbeth Martin announced the recent appointment of Michael J. Renzi, as Vice President for Finance and Administration.
Renzi has held finance and administration leadership positions at several higher education institutions, including Santa Clara University, San Jose City College, West Valley College, Stanford University School of Medicine, Gavilan Joint Community College District, and San Jose State University. “I’m excited to be joining NDNU as it continues to build a new path forward as an institution of higher learning for graduate degrees and degree completion,” said Renzi. “It’s over 172-year heritage of being a diverse and inclusive learning community is something I truly admire about the university.”
Renzi is a graduate of the US Army School of Finance & Accounting and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government from Santa Clara University. He then went on to get his Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara Law School.
“Michael will be a powerful addition to our leadership team. He brings a deep understanding of today’s higher education challenges and has a keen sense of how to adapt to its changing landscape,” Martin stated. “As we continue to transform to an adult graduate degree and degree completion university, I’m looking forward to Michael’s leadership and experience. He brings relevant knowledge from other universities he has worked at undergoing various stages of transition.”
