For Immediate Release
Belmont, Calif (July 21, 2021) – The School of Education and Psychology at Notre Dame de Namur University is pleased to announce its third and final Summer Speakers Series event, “The Pandemic’s Effect on Women,” presented by Dr. Teresa Buccheri. The free seminar is Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 7:00 – 8:00 pm via Zoom.
Dr. Buccheri will examine the impact of the pandemic on women from an international perspective, building on her extensive experience as a licensed clinical psychologist and psychotherapist in Italy. Dr. Buccheri is an Associate Professor and the Director of Clinical Training in the Department of Clinical Psychology at NDNU.
“My work in the community and the work of my fellow faculty, students and alumni, has demonstrated what numerous research studies have shown: the pandemic has meant greater challenges and opportunities for women around the world. Dr. Buccheri’s presentation gives us the chance to examine this complex situation and consider how women can cope and even grow as the pandemic dynamic changes,” said Dr. Helen Marlo, Chair of the Department of Clinical Psychology at NDNU.
This event is the final installment in a series of three free seminars focused on the impact of the pandemic on our community sponsored by the NDNU Department of Clinical Psychology.
